Through period postcards, the aim is to draw the graphic horizon that photographic light once wrote. Between archive and drawing, this plastic proposition uses the support – an object symbolizing par excellence the mechanized technical reproduction of the industrial era dear to Walter Benjamin: the postcard. Digital technique is used to draw on these postcards. The darkness is surrounded by the line of the digital stylus in opposition to the clarity of the photograph. In a shadow/light duality, shapes emerge, a graphic landscape appears.
Au travers de cartes postales d’époque, il s’agit là de dessiner l’horizon graphique que la lumière photographique a autrefois écrit. Entre archive et dessin, cette proposition plastique utilise le support – objet symbolisant par excellence la reproduction technique mécanisée de l’époque industrielle chère à Walter Benjamin : la carte postale. La technique numérique est usitée pour dessiner sur ces cartes postales. L’obscurité est cernée par le trait du stylet numérique en opposition à la clarté de la photographie. Dans une dualité ombre / lumière des formes surgissent, un paysage graphique apparaît.
